Click-A-Brick Gears Up For Release Of New Learning Toy Set With Contest

Click-A-Brick is ready to launch its new learning toy set, which will have over three times as many pieces as the company’s original offering. To help them name the new set, the team held a Facebook contest and asked its fans and customers to choose a name for the new military-inspired set.

The winner of the Facebook contest is Brittany Holt and she chose the name Army Defenders for the new set, which is slated to be released early April 2015 and contains 100 pieces.

Click-A-Brick co-founder and Brand Manager Georg de Gorostiza said he and fellow co-founder Jason Smith are pleased with the name and says it embodies the spirit of the latest offering.

“First off, Brittany’s name for it is much better than what we were originally going to call it, so I’m glad we did let a customer name it,” de Gorostiza said. “When you let a customer name something, you never know what you’re going to get, but Brittany picked a great name for it and we like the idea of it being a set of defenders, like the creations you make are defending and protecting something. We think Brittany used great imagination to come up with the name and we’re proud to have it on our product.”

Not only will Holt get to see the name she chose adorning the packaging for the Click-A-Brick Army Defenders 100pc Educational Toys Building Blocks Set for Boys and Girls, but as the prize for having the winning name, she will also be the first person to be able to play with the set, as she will be receiving one for free prior to its official launch.

Holding the Facebook contest for its fans and customers to suggest names for the new set is carrying on with Click-A-Brick’s custom of garnering feedback from customers. The company originally decided to release a military inspired set because customers it polled said they wanted to see a military theme for its next offering. They also said they wanted to see larger sets, which prompted the company to release one with 100 pieces.

This new batch of building blocks will also continue Click-A-Brick’s tradition of being a learning toy for boys and girls and will be connectible to the Animal Kingdom Safari set so customers who already own that set will be able to mix the Army Defenders’ military camouflage colored bricks with the Animal Kingdom Safari’s earth tone bricks.
