Remember when we made that amazing 3D Mother’s Day card a few weeks ago? We’re back with another great card, but this time it’s for Father’s Day, which is coming up soon. Making things for dad is a fantastic idea for dad’s day and you can get creative with your Click-A-Bricks and make him a whole bunch of different things.
No matter what you make your pop, you can give it to him with this necktie card, which comes to us courtesy of the Happy Crafty YouTube channel.
What You’ll Need:
- A piece of colored paper
- A piece of white paper
- A piece of colored paper of a different color
- Glue
- Scissors
- A hole punch
- A crayon or marker
- A pencil
Step 1
Fold a colored piece of paper in half lengthwise.
Step 2
About an inch or so down from the top folded corner, draw two lines so they make a triangle with the folded edge.
Draw another line at the bottom of the paper so it makes a triangle with the folded edge and the bottom edge of the paper.
Step 3
Fold the paper in half again lengthwise.
Step 4
Cut along the lines and unfold the paper. It should now have a necktie shape and when you open it, it will look like two neckties beside each other.
Step 5
Take the hole punch and punch some holes in the white paper and your other piece of colored paper.
Step 6
Take a pencil and write your Father’s Day message on the front of the card. If you make a mistake, simply erase it and write it again until you get it the way you want it.
Step 7
Take a crayon or marker and trace the message you wrote in pencil so it shows up nicely.
Step 8
Make little dots of glue on the card. You should just need to tap the glue onto the card to make them. Create a pattern if you want or just do it randomly.
Step 9
Stick the dots of paper you punched out with the hole punch onto the dots of glue. You can make a pattern if you like or just do it randomly.
Step 10
Cut a rectangle out of one of the pieces of paper and glue it into the inside of the card. You can write another Father’s Day message on this paper.
Your Father’s Day card is done! We bet he’ll love it!
