Educational Building Toy Company Click-A-Brick Launches New Charitable Campaign

Click-A-Brick has launched the Buy One Smile, Give One Back to a Child in Need campaign to give the opportunity for less fortunate children to receive educational building toys.

As part of the campaign, the company will donate one set of Click-A-Brick to a child in need for every set sold through the Click-A-Brick website between now and Dec. 31, 2015 and the company is asking its fans to help decide who gets a donated set.

Fans who would like to help are asked to simply make a purchase on the Click-A-Brick website. All contributions will be tallied and matched automatically by the Click-A-Brick team. The company plans to share the results and stories from the campaign with its customers and community via its Facebook page and direct email in January.

Fans who want to help even more can share with Click-A-Brick the story of a child they believe is deserving of a smile in their lives that can be brought on with a Click-A-Brick set. Fans are encouraged to share the stories of what is going on in a deserving child’s life and how a Click-A-Brick set may help the child through what he or she is facing by providing some much needed happiness. Fans can also pass along any photos with the children’s stories to fun@clickabrick.net.

Click-A-Brick Co-Founders Jason Smith and Georg de Gorostiza say rather than simply donating toys to a charity, they prefer to experience personally how Click-A-Brick toys may impact families, one child at a time.

“Our goal at Click-A-Brick has always been to put a smile on every child's face through creative play with our toys,” Smith said. “There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child light up with joy when playing with a new toy, especially at this time of year. We have made thousands of children happy this year, but despite our best efforts we realize there are so many more children who are in need of some joy, and we need our customers’ help to reach them.”

The timing of the charitable endeavor is to coincide with the traditional season of giving, when people are more apt to give to the less fortunate and is also a continuation of its commitment to bringing joy to children who need it, started in early December when members of the Click-A-Brick team visited Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, NV to give sets of the educational building toy to all the children who will be spending Christmas in the hospital.
